JAKARTA (29 Jan 2017) – The President’s Cup 2017 will start on 4 February with 20 teams taking part – 18 teams from the Indonesia Super League (ISL) and two from the First Division.
The 20 teams will be divided into five groups.
Five cities in Indonesia will be playing hosts and they are Bali, Madura, Sleman, Bandung and Malang.
The five group winners and three best ranked runners-up will play in the knock-out quarter-finals. The four semi-finalists will then play home and away with just one final match to be played.
The winning team stands to win IDR 3 miliar (USD224,000), the runners up will rake in IDR 2 miliar (USD149,200), third-placed team will earn IDR 1 miliar (USD74,600).
The fourth placed team will take IDR 400 million (USD 29,900).
