PHNOM PENH (17 Jan 2011) – It was a predictable end to the group stage of the Hun Sen Cup this week with the big boys advancing while the lesser teams fell by the wayside.
In what was considered as the group of death in Group D, Stung Treng grabbed the top spot only due to a superior goal difference with Chhma Khmao moving down to second spot ahead Western University.
All three had finished in the group stage tied on five points apiece.
Rithi Sen midfielder Ouk Chandarith was the toast of his side where his decisive goal helped Kampong Chhnang to score a 2-1 over Banteay Meanchey – and a place in the next round.
