PHNOM PENH (13 Feb 2012) – Preah Khan Reach successfully defended the crown they won last year when they lifted the Hun Sen Cup 2012 after beating Naga Corp FC 2-1 after extra-time in the final that was played at the National Olympic Stadium yesterday.
The score at the end of regulation was 1-1 after Chhim Sambo’s early 21st minute lead for Naga was cancelled out by Prak Mony Udom in the 44th minute. But Khoun Laboravy, who emerged as the top scorer in the competition with 22 goals, nailed the winner late in the 113th minute.
In the meantime, National Police emerged third after beating Chhlam Samut 3-0 in the fight for third and fourth placing.
