PHNOM PENH (26 March 2012) – Preah Khan Reach FC picked up their second win in the Metfone Cambodia League 2012 when they totally outclassed Chhlam Samut FC 6-0 at the National Olympic Stadium yesterday.
In their first game of the new season last week, Preah Khan had blasted former champions Phnom Penh Crown 3-0. And this time round, they again showed no mercy when Chea Samnang (25th and 88th minute) and Prak Mony Udom (40th and 59th minute) each scored a hat-trick. The other goals for Preah Khan were scored by Chan Vathanka (65th) and Sok Chan (86th).
The win has pushed Preah Khan to the top of the standings with six points from two matches.
National Police on the other hand were a little bit lucky to escape with a 2-1 win over Boueng Ket Rubber Field. After taking a 2-0 lead at the break off goals from Sim Vutha in the 15th minute and Oladiji Nelson in the 37th minute, Boueng Ket gave themselves a lifeline with their first goal of the game off Keo Sokngon (78th minute).
But the revival came a tad too late as National Police hung on for the win.
