PREAH KHAN FALL TO KOREA’S ULSAN UNIVERSITY

In front of just over 2,000 fans, the homesters started strongly when import Ande Apollo in the 20th minute for Preah Khan to take a 1-0 lead at the half.

On the advantage in the second half, Preah Khan defended in numbers and rarely pushed forward as Ulsan pushed hard for the equaliser through the hard work of inspirational front man Choi Min-seok.

And he turned out to be the provider for team mate Cha Tae-young in the 76th minute for the equaliser before scoring the lead himself barely three minutes later.

Ulsan grew more confident after going in front for the first time in the game and with a minute remaining on the clock, Min-seok struck home for the convincing win.

“My boys played not too bad but they lost some chances,” said Prak Sovannara, the head coach of Preah Khan.

“However, I recognise that the Koreans play at a high standard with great speed. From this match experience, we’ve learnt our weaknesses and strengths. I believe that my players will do better in the Samdech Hun Sen Cup.”
