PORT AUTHORITY SHARE TOP SPOT

After nine matches in the league, both teams are on the same 24 points from eight wins and one defeat.

The game against Sripathum University was already over at the halfway mark when Port Authority stretched to a 3-0 lead with goals off Tanakorn Santhanaprasit in the 17th minute, Suchin Eiamchalard (18th) and Montol Bunnapawilai a minute later.

Four minutes into the second half saw Wuttichai Tintawee making the score sheet before Suchin Eiamchalard grabbed his second of the afternoon in the 38th minute as Charnyuth Muangchan rounded off with the final goal of the game in the 39th minute.

But CAT Telekom were not about to be undone when they completely overwhelmed Bangkok 7-3 to stay at the top of the table going into the last few games of the season.

Oswaldo Freitas gave CAT Telekom the best of start with the opening goal barely a minute into the game and from then on, it was all plain sailing as they scored through Singhanart Kunyangern (5th minute), Narongsak Kongkeaw (15th), Freitas (24th), Nopadol Wongchan (25th), Anucha Munjarern (29th) and Rogerio Moreira (37th minute) for the win.

Bangkok’s goals were scored by Eakasit Keawkongmuang (4th minute) and Sittichai Prasongsilp (15th and 35th minute).

Third at the table is TOT who whitewashed Samutprakarn 13-2 while fourth is Chonburi Bluewave who had little difficulty in disposing off basement side Nakhornratchasima 10-3.

With the latest defeat, Nakhornratchasima remain anchored to the bottom of the league table without a point to their name from nine games.
