PHNOM PENH (22 August 2012) – The stage is set for the play-offs stage of the Cambodia Metfone 2012 crown following the last match day of the league this week.
The four teams that have confirmed their place in the play-offs this year will see Boueng Ket Rubber Field taking on Preah Khan Reach FC and then Naga Corp FC to play National Police. Both games will be played on 9 September 2012 at the National Olympic Stadium.
On the last match day of the league, Naga Corp FC held defending champions Phnom Penh Crown FC to a 1-1 draw with Ou Lyhong’s 73rd minute lead for Naga being cancelled out by Chim Ratanak right at the end.
In the other match of the day, National Defense Ministry FC beat Preah Khan Reach FC 3-1.
Despite taking the lead off Nop Tola in the 38th minute, Preah Khan Reach could not maintain the momentum when National Defense slammed three goals in the second half – Ung Dara in the 54th minute, Chhin Chhoeurn (55th) and Poeu Phearith (80th).
