PHNOM PENH (2 June 2013) – Former champions Phnom Penh Crown FC scored one of their biggest win of the Metfone Cambodia League 2013 when they thumped Senate 8-1 to move up to third in the table standings.
Elroy van der Hooft grabbed a personal best with four goals when he found the back of the net in the 21st, 68th, 76th and 80th minute as Lee Ha-neul (20th), Hong Pheng (36th), Leng Makara (87th) and Khim Borey (90th) added the remainder.
The only goal for Senate came early in the ninth minute through Puch Savuth.
In the meantime, Naga Corp FC slipped down to fourth when they were held to an exhilarating 3-3 draw by Syay Rieng while National Police edged Asia Euro University 2-1.
