PHNOM PENH (28 April 2014) – A slim 1-0 win over National Police Commissary was enough to maintain Phnom Penh Crown FC at the top of the Metfone Cambodia League 2014.
After eight matches into the new season, Phnom Penh take the lead with 19 points – the same as second-placed Naga Corp FC. But Phnom Penh rest on top due to a superior goal difference.
Elsewhere, Asia Europe University scored a 3-1 win over Albirex Niigata Phnom Penh as Naga Corp were also on the winning trail after beating defending champions Svay Rieng FC 1-0.
Kirivong Soksenchey fell 1-0 at home to Build Bright United while former champions Beoung Ket humiliated National Defense Ministry 7-1 as TriAsia Phnom Penh were held to a 1-1 draw by Western University FC.
