PHNOM PENH KEEP CHASE; KIRIVONG ON A REVIVAL

With defending champions Naga Corp FC thrashing Chhma Khmao 7-0 in mid-week, the pressure was on Phnom Penh to keep up and they duly did so with the first goal of the game in the 12th minute through Sok Pheng.

J. Uche Prince then doubled the lead for Phnom Penh Crown with the second goal of the game in the 43rd minute for the 2-0 lead before he completed his brace just a minute after the restart to put his side comfortably in front.

And even though Build Bright did pull a goal back in the 56th minute off O. N. Olatunde, there was no fabulous come back as Phnom Penh stuck to their guns for the full points.

In the meantime Kirivong followed up their 4-2 win over Chhma Khmao last week with a 3-1 defeat of Khemara Keila.

In Vicchika gave Kirivong the lead on seven minutes as O. J. Chukwuma then added the second goal in the just five minutes after the restart.

Khemara then gave themselves a glimmer of hope with the first goal of the game in the 77th minute from Kuoch Sukhompheak but Chukwuma sealed the game for Kirivong with their third goal two minutes later.
