PHNOM PENH (24 July 2009) – Phnom Penh Crown FC scored their second win in the second round of the Cambodia Premier League 2009 to come within a point behind league leaders Preah Khan Reach FC.
Following from their 3-1 win over National Defense Ministry FC last week, Phnom Penh followed it up with a close 1-0 victory over Naga Corp FC. With the score tied at the half, O. Mohamadou scored the only goal of the game in the 48th minute to give Phnom Penh their eighth win in eleven league matches. Preah Khan are still at the top of the CPL standings with 26 points while Khemara Keila are third with 21 points as Naga slipped to fourth.
