PHNOM PENH (30 June 2013) – Phnom Penh Crown FC moved up to second in the Metfone Cambodia League 2013 when they beat Asia Euro University 3-0 yesterday at the National Olympic Stadium.
Elroy van Der Hooft got the ball rolling with the lead just two minutes into the game before Sos Souhana scored the second goal in the 69th minute and then Hong Pheng rounding things off with a 76th minute strike.
With the win, Phnom Penh moved up to second in the league with 32 points from 17 matches played – five points behind leaders Boueng Ket Rubber Field, who this week edged Svay Rieng 2-0.
Boueng Ket made sure of the points off goals from Marie Privait in the 39th minute and Bisan George in the 45th.
In the meantime, Build Bright United were the biggest winners of the weekend when they blasted Senate 5-0 with David Ekelechukwu scoring two goals in the 78th and 86th minute.
Chan Chhaya gave the opener in the 11th minute, and then Heng Sok Ly in the 84th minute and Prum Sithy in the 90th minute.
