PHNOM PENH (6 March 2012) – Last year’s runners-up Phnom Penh Crown FC have been placed in Group B of the AFC President’s Cup qualifiers, following the draw that was made this week at the AFC House.
One club each from 12 Member Associations has been slotted into three groups of four teams each to play under a one-round league format between 3-13 May, 2012 and the top two teams will qualify for the Final round.
The qualifiers will take place in three centralised venues in Cambodia, Pakistan and Tajikistan.
The final round of the AFC President’s Cup will be played in 24-30 September, 2012 and the host of the Finals will be announced later.
In the final last year, Phnom Penh Crown conceded a 3-2 loss to Taiwan Power Company.
