PHILIPPINES WIN UFL ALL-STAR MATCH

Air Force strikers Martin Doctora and Ian Araneta and Army Phiten midfielder Roel Gener delivered the first half goals for the Filipinos against Kaya Digiprint striker Izzeldin Elhabbib as Philippines seized control 3-1 at the half.

Global Smartmatic’s Ivory Coast native Remi Alain-Sery and Elhabbib scored a pair of goals in the second half to force a tie but Emelio Caligdong countered with their fourth goal of the game to secure the win for the hosts before a big crowd.

In the meantime, Second Division champions Global Smartmatic will be promoted to the First Division next season.
