MANILA (4 July 2015) – The Philippines will take on Vietnam in a friendly at the Philippine Sports Stadium in Bocaue, Bulacan on 3 September.
The match is being played as part of Philippines’ preparation for the 2018 World Cup qualifying match against Uzbekistan the same month.
The Philippines Football Federation (PFF) had wanted a game against ASEAN champions Thailand but the latter were not willing to travel.
“It’s important for us to utilize the FIFA dates for us to play friendly matches and develop cohesion in the team,” said Azkals team manager Dan Palami.
