MANILA (19 May 2018) – Philippines national team manager Dan Palami said the post of the head coach will be announced on 14 June without giving specific details on who has been shortlisted.
He said that Thomas Dooley, who has been handling the team for the last few years, is still very much in the running for the position even though his contract had ended in March.
It seems that two other candidates are also being considered.
“There’s an event in Solaire on 14 June at that time, I’ll be making that announcement (on who will be the new Azkals head coach),” said Palami.
Philippines next assignment will be for the AFF Suzuki Cup 2018 in November and the 2019 AFC Asian Cup in January 2019.
