MANILA (16 March, 2008) – The Philippine Football Federation (PFF) have signed a three-year contract with Mizuno to become the official outfitter and a major partner in its grassroots development programs.
Philippine Olympic Committee president Jose Cojuangco Jr. witnessed the recent contract signing between PFF president Jose Mari Martinez and Lovell Gopez, president of Master Sports Corp, the exclusive local distributor of Mizuno sportswear and equipment. Also witnessing the signing of the agreement were POC secretary general Steve Hontiveros, PFF general secretary Pablito Araneta, Jose Vito Borromeo, PFF national teams committee chairman and PFF technical director Juan Cutillas, among others. “On the PFF’s behalf, I would like thank Master Sports and Mizuno for partnering with us,” said Martinez. “This guarantees that our national teams will be well-equipped with quality and durable football uniforms and equipment for training and international competitions.” “We believe in the present PFF leadership and fully support their programs. Hopefully, we can also be actively involved in the federation’s grassroots development by conducting tournaments and other football activities,” said Paolo Cagalingan, Master Sports marketing manager. Under the terms of the agreement, Master Sportswear will supply the national men’s and women’s teams all of its soccer requirements from 2008 to 2010, including their outfits and uniforms for international tournaments. |
