MANILA (7 June 2019) – Philippines conceded a 2-0 loss to China in a friendly that was played at the Guangzhou Tianhe Stadium in Guangzhou, China.
It took China just 14 minutes to get on to the score sheet when Wu Xi slammed home the lead following a cross from the right.
Philippines had several chances of their own but Mike Ott nor Michael Falksgaard seem able to get the last touch in.
China then finished things off in the 54th minute off a fine finish from Zhang Xizhe, who finished with aplomb to make it 2-0.
And to make things worse for the Philippines, they lost the enterprising Daisuke Sato in the 69th minute for a second yellow card offense.
