MANILA (6 April 2012) – The Philippines Football Federation (PFF) are on the lookout for a new coach to guide their Under-22 team for the qualifying round of the AFC U22 Asian Cup which will be held in June this year.
This latest development came about after Zoran Dordevic decided to leave the Philippines and return home to Serbia citing”end of contract.”
Dordevic was the coach of the Philippines U21 squad for the Hassanal Bolkiah Trophy 2012 that was held in Brunei recently (pix). The squad ended their campaign on fifth in Group A where apart from having failed to make the cut for the semi-finals, they also did not pick up a single point.
Initially, the plan was for Dordevic to also guide the U22 squad for the AFC U22 Asian Cup qualifiers in which the Philippines are placed in Group G against Myanmar, South Korea, Malaysia, Vietnam and Chinese Taipei.
