JAKARTA (20 Sept 2009) – Persitara Jakarta Utara have signed Argentinean Jose Sebastian from Deltras Sidoarjo as part of filling their quota of four imports for the new Indonesia Super League (ISL) season which begins in November.
For the new season, teams are encouraged to sign two non-Asian imports and two Asian imports. Apart from Sebastian, Persitara have also ensnared local Deltras player Ledy Utomo to join the club. “We are quite comfortable with Sebastian and Ledy. We have reached an agreement with these players for the new season where now it is a matter of just putting it to paper,” said Hary ‘Gendhar’ Ruswanto, the manager of Persitara. Persitara are planning to sign just one Asian import and three non-Asian imports for the new season while for the remainder of the squad, Gendhar added that negotiations are up to 90% complete. Towards completing the remainder of the squad, Persitara will conduct a selection at the Tugu Jakarta Utara Stadium to allow the coaching panel a final look at the technical ability of the players concerned. Among the foreign players who attended the trials are Carlos Alberto Gomes (Mexico), Mario Georgiev (Bulgaria), Gaston Bella (Argentina), Cyril Dyakov (Bulgaria), Lamin Conteh (Liberia), Mauricio Matezzi (Argentina) and Leonardi Felicia (Argentina). “This will be the last trial for the new season. We will decide later this week on the final team list,” added Gendhar. |
