Persijap indicated that their interest in signing either of the two coaches were propelled by the fact that their salary demand is lower that than of a local coach.

“We will have a meeting tomorrow to discuss further on the appointment of a new coach. But one thing for sure, both coaches from France and Portugal are still in the reckoning,“ said team secretary Arif Darmawan.

Other than Valle, who had previously been the chief coach of Etoile FC that played in the S-League, and Texiera, the other coaches under consideration are Yudi Suryata, Gusnul Yakin, Suimin Diharja and Agus Yuwono.

“First and foremost, we have to look at the financial aspect before making any decision on the appointment of a new coach. Although, at the same time, we also need to consider the need of the squad as well,” added Arif.
