MANILA (6 June 2014) – The Philippines Football Federation (PFF) are planning to host the third edition of the Peace Cup in September this year. It has been tentatively scheduled for 1-9 September at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.
The Philippines national side has won the tournament in its inception year in 2012 as well as the edition last year.
“The next cup is the Peace Cup, so that’s something that we’re gonna work on,” said dead coach Thomas Dooley.
“We would like to go on a charity tour (after the Peace Cup), like playing international games for Tacloban, try to raise some money.
“We’ve already talked to Canada, and it depends on how the United States is doing, maybe we get the chance to play against US, and also maybe something in Europe.”
