MANILA (28 Oct 2009) – Pasargad and Manhur FC lead the standings in the on-going Philippines Football Federation (PFF) Futsal League 2009.
Pasargad are at the top of Group B with seven points from three matches while Manhur lead Group A with six points from the same number of matches. There are five teams in each group. Pasargad had drawn their first match of the season in Group B against Dilman FC 2-2 before taking back-to-back wins against Don Bosco FC (13-8) and Korea FC (19-8). Second in Group B are Dilman who followed up their stalemate against Pasargad in their first game to pick up a 9-4 victory over Korea FC and then a 9-2 beating of Montalban. Third in Group B is Don Bosco United FC while fourth is Montalban with Korea in the rear on fifth and without a win to their name. In Group A, Manhur FC lead the group with six points – but having played a game more than second-placed Philippines Army FC. Manhur started the season with a 14-2 win over Soccerroos but fell to an 8-9 defeat to SGU in their second match. They recovered to beat Mendiola 6-5 in their third match to take the top spot – for now. On second is Philippines Army FC who have picked up full points from their first two matches of the season. They won 9-5 over Socceroos in their first game this year and then recorded a 7-2 victory over Mendiola FC in their second match. Third in Group A is Sunken Garden United FC with Socceroos FC occupying fourth spot and Mendiola FC on fifth. |
