MANILA (22 March 2012) – Dan Palami, the team manager of the Philippines national team, has set the target of making the final at this year’s AFF Suzuki Cup 2012.
Following their recent performance at the AFC Challenge Cup 2012 where the team emerged third following wins over India and Tajikistan in the preliminary round and then Palestine in the ranking match, the team is exuding confidence all around.
The team was also the losing semi-finalists at the AFF Suzuki Cup 2010 and feels that making the final this time round is a big possibility.
“We have the AFF Suzuki Cup coming in and we hope that we do better from the semi-finals that we ended up last time,” said Palami to ABS-CBN.
The 9th edition of the AFF Suzuki Cup will take place from 24 November to 22 December 2012. The official draw for the qualifiers and also the final rounds will be held in July in Bangkok.
