PHNOM PENH (4 Sept 2008) – Pailin City romped into the semi-finals of the Football Federation of Cambodia (FFC) Under-15 Championship with an 11-0 beating of Kep City at the National Olympic Stadium.
Kay Nak blasted in five goals (2nd, 53rd, 57th, 62nd and 64th minute) as Rasmey Kimsann (15th), Tieng Sotheara (45th), Heung Met (47th), Yem Vit (6th and 59th) and Phim Phea Nuon (69th) added the others in the one-sided exchange. With the win, Pailin City will face Takeo Province FC – who beat Banteay Mean Chey Province 2-1- in the last four. Takeo Province FC made sure of their place in the semi-finals with goals from Chheng Sang (45th minute) and Savorn Ratanak Visa (60th) to cancel out Seng Kim Hong’s earlier strike in the 40th minute. In the meantime, the fight was a lot closer in the other quarter-finals as Prek Pra Komar Rik Reay and Komar Oreah Khan Reach had to fight tooth and nail before their were able to score identical 2-1 win over their respective opponents. You Rafat made sure of the win for Prek Pra Komar Rik Reay with goals in the 34th and 47th minute while Komar Oreah Khan Reach reached the last four off goals from Chan Vathanaka (32nd minute) and Sok Sam Nang (76th minute).
