KUALA LUMPUR (24 August 2012) – With the Malaysia Cup 2012 just out of the block, the Malaysian team has so far only penned one friendly match a month in the run-up to the AFF Suzuki Cup this year.
They will take on Vietnam on 11 September at the National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur before the tie against Hong Kong on 16 October on the road.
Then it will be return tie against Vietnam on 3 November at the My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi.
Other than the fact that the Malaysians are the defending champions of the most prestigious event in the ASEAN calendar, they will also be hosting Group B of the championship in Kuala Lumpur.
Group B are Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and the runners-up team from the qualifiers in October. Group A are hosts Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines and the winning team from the qualifiers.
