BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (27 Jan 2014) – Brunei’s only professional club DPMM FC ended their foray in the Phuket Saksee Cup with one win and one loss in the tournament that ended on the weekend at the Surakul Stadium.
After a bright start a few days earlier when they edged Division 2 Regional Leaguer, Nakhon Si Heritage 3-1, several personnel changes against Phuket FC led to a 2-0 loss.
But Phuket FC, who are playing in the Thai First Division, were always going to be a handful and they certainly proved their quality with two quick goals from Ney Fabiano de Oliviera (5th and 6th minute).
DPMM are preparing for the S-League which begins next month.
