PHNOM PENH (3 May 2011) – A hat-trick from Obioh Julius gave former champions Naga Corp FC a 3-1 win over National Defense Ministry FC in the Metfone Cambodia League 2011.
The win was Naga’s first victory in the league following their 2-1 loss to General-Commisseriat of National Police FC in their first game of the season and then a 2-2 draw against Build Bright United FC in their second match.
But this week, Obioh was in fine form when he nailed the three goals (10th, 34th and 70th minute) for the win even though National Defense Ministry scored their only goal in the 24th minute through Chhin Chhoeurn.
In the meantime defending champions Phnom Penh Crown had the solitary strike from Chan Chaya in the 67th minute for their win close 1-0 win over Prek Pre Keila.
The victory was Phnom Penh’s second full points of the season following their 9-0 thrashing of Rithysen FC the previous week.
