BANGKOK (11 Nov 2012) – It is not a disappointing season afterall for Buriram United when they grabbed their second Cup of the season after beating Ratchaburi FC 4-1 in the final of the League Cup at the Thammasat Stadium last night.
Buriram, the Thai Premier League 2012 champions, had won the Thai FA Cup last week.
After losing the race for the TPL crown this year, Buriram re-focused their challenge to retain the FA Cup and also the League Cup, which they had won last year.
Buriram defender Ekwalla Herman put them ahead in the 35th minute before striker Goran Jerkovic then doubled the lead at the stroke of half-time.
Osmar Barba then made it 3-0 on 63 minutes before an own goal from Adisak Kraisorn put the score at 3-1. Jerkovic completed the rout at the tail end of the tie for the final score line.
