BUKIT JALIL (30 June 2013) – The Red Warriors looked the better team as the cash-rich-star-studded Southern Tigers could not find a way past a resilient Kelantan defence.
The first half was all Kelantan as they looked hungrier of the two. It wasn’t until the introduction of Argentinean Leonel Nunez in the 17th minute did Johor Darul Takzim look anything close to dangerous.
However, by then, The Red Warriors had already taken the lead after winger Norfarhan Muhammad was put through by Man-of-the-Match Mohd Badhri Mohd Radzi and he made no mistake to poke the ball home.
Badhri, or fondly known as ‘Piya’, had a splendid half as he left his opposing number Safiq Rahim chasing shadows.
