HANOI (12 Dec 2010) – The Vietnam national team first leg semi-final match of the AFF Suzuki Cup 201 in Kuala Lumpur will not be short of their own supporters when a local tourism company Vietravel, hired two Vietnam Airlines airplanes for the game on 15 Dec.
The two planes which will depart in both cities of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City are capable of carrying 360 passengers. The round trip from Hanoi cost VND9.9 million (USD508) while that from HCMC is priced at VND8.9 million (USD457). Another travel agent Hanoi Redtour booked 40 seats on Vietnam Airlines flights to Malaysia which organised four-day tours to Malaysia, plus a ticket to the semi-final match, priced at USD469. In the meantime, the several injuries to the backline have given a headache to Vietam chief coach Henrique Calisto. Right-back Quang Thanh badly injured his left shin in the team’s final Group B match against Singapore in Hanoi while left-back Viet Cuong is in even worse condition after tearing a back ligament. Dinh Luat and Dinh Dong may come in for the two defenders. “They are not good as good as the two regulars while their overlapping runs ,a proven tactic for Vietnam at this year’s tournament, could be better,” added Calisto. Other than two injured players, Calisto is also worried about the decline in form of central defender Nhu Thanh.
