JAKARTA (11 Oct 2012) – Nil Maizar, the chief coach of Indonesia, has called up 30 players for the centralised training camp which begins this week in West Jakarta. The team is preparing for the AFF Suzuki Cup next month
He said that he is still awaiting the arrival of players from the Indonesia Super League (ISL) before announcing the list of 23 players for the next phase. Naturalised players Stefano Lilipaly (pix) and Jhonny van Beukering have also not checked in yet
“I already have the picture in mind of which players will be in the final squad,” added Nil. “But let us wait awhile although the players are not that much different from those we have currently.”
For the AFF Suzuki Cup, Indonesia are in Group B against hosts Malaysia, Singapore and the runners-up team from the qualifying round.
