BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (6 Jan 2014) – The National FA of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD) continue to hold trials for the Hassanal Bolkiah Trophy 2014 which will be held in April this year.
After going through three out of four districts, a total of 54 players have been selected by Brunei coach Kwan Oh-son. The selected players will then attend a centralised camp before the few chosen ones gained tickets to be part of the national youth squad.
“There are a number of good players who turned up for the trials but we are looking for the complete player with high spirit, discipline and an eye for goal,” said Oh-son.
“We need to finalise the number of the players as soon as possible as we are going to organise a centralised camp training starting on Saturday.
“For now, the team will mostly consist of the SEA Games squad as they have trained together since last April, and we are hoping to add new talent from the trials too.”
