HANOI (20 Aug 2015) – Hanoi will have a new National Sports Complex, integrated with shopping, and convention and tourism centres.
The plan was unveiled by the Hanoi Department of Planning and Architecture, covering a land area of about 88.7ha in Nam Tu Liem District.
The new sports complex will also have an aquatics centre, athletics training zone and a national sport complex headquarters.
Almost 63,000sq.m of the total land will be dedicated to the Keirin racing facility, expected to be the highlight of the complex, in addition to the main National Stadium.
A tunnel has also been recommended to address the expected traffic jams after each sporting event.
