BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (18 July 2014) – Defending champions of the Hassanal Bolkiah Trophy Brunei have signed a new kit partner with Italian sportswear manufacturer Lotto worth BDN 50,000 (USD 40,000) a year.
The signing of a kit partner is timely as Brunei will be playing in the HBT 2014 slated for 9-23 August as well as in the qualifying round of the AFF Suzuki Cup in October in Laos.
Present as guest of honour at the event was NFABD President HRH Prince Sufri Bolkiah and his son YAM Pg Muda ‘Abdul ‘Aleem.
“This is good news for the players and they were happy when they heard about it,” said national coach Kwon Oh-son. “Lotto is a well known brand and the quality of their equipment is very good. I am very grateful for the support.”
Added national youth team goalkeeper Mohd Fakhrul Zulhazmi Yussof: “it feels very comfortable and the material of the jersey is quite good – and we are very happy with the sponsorship.
“This is our first time trying out the jersey so we have not tested it for matches.”
