With the ultimate aim of booking a place in the next World Cup in Canada, Yun Fa’s immediate task would be to mould a team capable of defending the SEA Games gold medal they won in Jakarta.
The next SEA Games will be hosted by Myanmar in 2013.
“He is an experienced coach who has already helped us earn success (by winning the AFF Women’s Championship last month),” said Nguyen Trong Hy, the president of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).
“He has been working in Viet Nam for many years and understands our team as well as others in the region. He has an effective and scientific training method which is suitable for our players. He has also won the respect of both players officials.”
