JAKARTA (29 March, 2008) – The Indonesian Under-16 team fell to a 4-1 loss to Juventude in their second match of the Uruguay Under-17 League (Quinta Division) 2008.
The team which had gone to score a 1-0 over Rampla Juniors in their opening match of the league the previous week, just could not cope with the strong wind factor and conceded two goals in the opening quarter of the first hour. And even though striker Syamsir Alam managed to a pull a goal back in the 16th minute, there was no stopping Juventude from picking up the full points when they scored two more goals after the break. But credit should be given to the young Indonesian side where they failed not for the lack of trying but their inability to make good on the several clear chances. “Generally, the players did well. But they have to be sharper with the chances that came their way,” added head coach Cesar Payovich. |
