SHAH ALAM (31 August 2016) – Frank Bernhardt, the head coach of the Malaysian Under-22 team has demanded his chargers on the need to be sharper following their 0-0 draw against Bahrain last night.
In the match that was played at the Shah Alam Stadium in Malaysian, both teams squandered a hatful of chances with the Malaysians coming the closest on several occasions which would have sealed the deal.
“It was a good overall performance considering the limited time that we had to prepare for this game. The only setback was that we could not score even a single goal and that is something which we need to improve on,” said Bernhardt.
“They have to realise that although they can play well, but if they don’t score, it would mean nothing.”
Malaysia will take on Bahrain in a second friendly on Friday at Stadium UiTM in Shah Alam.
