PHNOM PENH (29 March 2012) – Naga Corp FC scored a crucial 2-1 win over Phnom Penh Crown in the Metfone Cambodia League 2012 with the winning goal coming off Neang Chenla just two minutes into the second half.
In the match that was played at the National Olympic Stadium, it was Naga who broke the early deadlock when Kim Borey scored the lead on 23 minute before Choun Chum nailed the equaliser with just three minutes left of the first half.
But just two minutes in after the break, Neang found the space to slot home what turned out to be the winner. With the full points, Naga moved up to second at the table behind Preak Khan Reach having played a game more than the latter.
The defeat for Phnom Penh was their second in three matches which in turn could have an effect in the final run up to the end of the current season.
