YANGON (4 June 2014) – Naypyitaw FC failed to keep the chase at the top of the Myanmar National League (MNL) 2014 when they fell to a 1-0 loss to Magway FC at the Youth Training Centre.
With leaders Yadanarbon still to drop a game where they have raked in 24 points from ten matches played, the loss for Naypyitaw meant that they still remained on second at the table with two points adrift of the leaders.
Magway picked up the full points with the only goal of the game coming in 68th minute off Myaw Zaw Oo.
In the meantime, defending champions Yangon United continued to struggle when they dropped two points against Zwekapin United.
Cesar Augusto had given Yangon the lead early in the second minute only to see Toni Dzangarovski scoring the equaliser ten minutes to the end.
