PHNOM PENH (24 May 2012) – National Police FC wrested back the leadership in the Metfone Cambodia League 2012 from Naga Corp when they beat
Kirivong Sok Sen Chey FC 2-0 at the National Olympic Stadium.
A goal in each half through Srey Odom in the 26th minute and then Oladiji Nelson Olatunde 88th minute were enough to send National Police back to the top of the standings – two points ahead of second-placed Naga Corp FC.
In the meantime, third-placed Boueng Ket Rubber Field kept up the pressure at the top when they blasted Chhlam Samut FC 7-0. The score at the end of the first half was 4-0.
Nwakuna Friday nailed four goals (35th, 38th, 49th and 55th minute) as Keo Sokngon (30th) and Keo Sokpheng (45th and 64th minute) added the other goals.
Elsewhere, Build Bright University beat Western University 1-0 while Preah Khan Reach edged National Defense Ministry 2-1.
