HANOI (30 Jan 2009) – The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) have announced that the National League 1 – Sino Cup will officially kick off from 6 February to 22 August, 2009.
The National League 1 – Sino Cup is a step lower to the VFF’s top tier of the V-League. The tournament – which is to be held on a home and away round robin basis – draws the participation of 14 clubs this year. And they are An Giang, Binh Dinh, Can Tho, Dong Nai, Huda Hue, Hanoi ACB, Hai An SGU, Hoa Phat Hanoi, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Than – Quang Ninh, Tay Ninh, Tien Giang and Vinakansai Ninh Binh. The prize money for the winner will be VND 200 million (USD 12,000), the runners-up and the third team will get VND 100 million (USD 6,000)and VND 50 million (USD 3,000) respectively. The top two teams at the end of the season will earn automatic tickets to the V-League 2010 while the third-placed team will take part in a play-off against the 12th-ranked team at the end of the V-League 2009 season. |
