PHNOM PENH (28 August 2009) – National Defense Ministry held Build Bright United to a 1-1 draw in the Cambodia Premier League 2009 yesterday.
With only the top four teams at the end of the 18 match days in the league going through to play in the ranking stage, fifth-placed Build Bright are already out of contention where following the defeat, they are now seven points adrift of fourth-placed Khemara Keila FC. Build Bright have also played 17 matches thus far – a game more than Khemara. After a lacklustre first-half, Build Bright finally broke the deadlock with the first goal of the game through Kang Sopheak in the 70th minute. Five minutes later however, the game ended up all even when Um Kompheak blasted in the equaliser for National Defense to remain on eighth at the table.
