PHNOM PENH (30 June 2008) – National Defense Ministry FC moved up to fifth in the Cambodia Premier League 2008 following their close 1-0 win over second-placed Khemara Keila FC at the National Olympic Stadium.
National Defense, who had lost their last match against Naga Corp FC, had a single strike from Nao So Seyla in the 27th minute to thank for picking up the full points against a determined Khemara side. But in the end, the win and the three wins allowed National Defense to go up to fifth in the standings with 10 points from six matches. Khemara are still on second in the CPL where they have amassed 12 points from seven games while Build Bright United FC top the table with 16 points from eight matches.
