JAKARTA (23 March 2013) – Indonesia showed that their recent unification effort has already bore some positive signs when they conceded just a narrow 2-1 loss to AFC Asian Cup regular Saudi Arabia tonight at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.
Boaz Salossa (pix) had given the home team the best of start with the goal in the sixth minute but the more experienced Saudi Side fought back with the equaliser off Yahya Al Shehri in the 14th minute before Yousef Al Salem the scored what turned out to be the winner on 56 minute.
In spite of the positive showing, the loss was Indonesia’s second in Group C following their 1-0 loss to Iraq last month.
