BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (23 April 2014) – Najip FC put up a dominant performance to coast 4-0 past Liang Lumut Recreational Club (LLRC) as they moved up to third in the DST Super League match this week.
In the match that was played at the Tutong Sports Complex, it took Najip the best part of the first half before they were able to take the lead through Mohd Azri Zahari in the 43rd minute, after heading in the cross from Ampuan Mohd Endy Azri Ampuan Idris.
Just a minute later, Abang Norsilmy Taha fired home for Najip FC to take a two goal lead as Ampuan Mohd Endy then made it 3-0 just after the restart.
Seven minutes to the end, Abang Nur Hilman then rounded off a fine evening for Najip with the fourth goal of the game.
“I’m very happy with the performance and it is great to get back to winning,” said Rahman Ali, the team manager of Najip.
“It is good to avenge our loss to LLRC (in the first game of the season). We played well even though we didn’t have a full team with key players out with injuries.”
