BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (3 July 2014) – Najip FC lost touch at the top of the DST Super League 2014 when they were held to a scoreless draw by Jerudong FC.
While Jerudong had the bulk of the chances, Najip keeper Abd Hafiz Abd Rahim was just too good on the night to deny them.
“It was a fair result for us both as the match was 50/50,” said Najip assistant coach Noor Masaidirwan Md Saini.
“We didn’t have a full squad as a lot of players are out with injuries or suspensions.”
With just the one point, Najip remained on third in the standings with 27 points from 14 matches played – four points behind second-placed and defending champions MS ABDB (the Royal Brunei Armed Forces).
Undefeated Indera SC are at the top of the table with 37 points from 13 matches.
