BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (18 Feb 2014) – Najip FC grabbed the lead in the DST Super League 2014 as they kept it three out of three thus far this season.
The basement side in 2013, Najip showed that they can make the difference when they opened the new year with a 2-0 win over Kilanas FC before edging Wijaya FC 2-1 the previous week.
And this week, they went top of the table when they showed their quality to beat early pace-setter MS PDB (Royal Brunei Police Forces Sports Council) with a comprehensive 3-0 score line.
“We have a good mix of players, both young and old. What we are trying to do is for the youth to learn from their seniors,” said Najip head coach Johari Bungsu.
“Our target is a top-five finish. No doubt winning the first three games of the season is very good but there is still a long way to go.”
