PHNOM PENH (24 Jan 2015) – NagaWorld FC have swooped in on Cambodian internationals Kouch Sokhumpheak and Kim Borey (pix) following their ‘fallout’ with former club Phnom Penh Crown.
The arrival of the duo follows the signing of Ban Kazuaki of Japan and Kenyan Ngwa Baldwin Afanwin ahead of the Metfone C League, which kicks off on 25 March.
“Both these players bring a lot of experience with them. That adds depth to my team. Interestingly, they also have a style of play that goes well with my own style and tactics,’’ said NagaWorld coach Meas Channa.
Meas, who had been the assistant to Cambodian national coach Lee Tae Hoon, takes over from Prak Sovannara.
“I know I have to fill big shoes. I know the responsibility is huge. I am keeping my expectations for the season modest. While we are determined to get one or the other piece of silverware, I want my team to finish among the top in both the Cup and the League.”
