PHNOM PENH (15 Aug 2011) – Current league leaders Phnom Penh Crown FC remained comfortable on top of the Metfone Cambodia League 2011 as they opened up a seven point lead following their easy 2-0 win over Kirivong Sok Sen Chey FC.
Phnom Penh picked up the full points this week off goals from Sun Sovannrithy in the fourth minute and Njoku Kingsley Metu in the 19th minute.
In the other matches, Preah Khan Reach FC edged Build Bright United 1-0 with the only goal in the game coming in 89th minute off Khuon Laboravy as Prek Pra Keila also overcame Rithisen by the same scoreline from Roun Raya’s solitary 12th minute strike.
National Defense scored the biggest win of the week when they thrashed National Police 5-1 with Chhin Chhoue leading the way off a brace (18th and 71st minute) as Phoung Saksana (29th) and Plong Chanthou (51st) scoring the other goals.
National Police scored their only goal in the game from Man Ritavan in the 45th minute.
